(mostly) TRUE THINGS is a game wrapped in a storytelling show, featuring true stories told by comedy-wrangling, heartstrings-pulling storytellers from all walks of life, who range from experienced award-winning performers to many who are entirely new to the experience of sharing a story onstage.
The game is this: all but one of the storytellers include carefully-crafted, subtle little lies into their story. In Act 2, the audience gets to question the storytellers - who can improvise their responses - then votes for the person they think told their story with no lies. Some improvised, story-inspired music and songs written for the show by host/creator Jude Treder-Wolff are additional ingredients for a high-energy, often hilarious, emotion-packed and entertaining show. There are prizes involved, if you can believe a thing like that.
“Self-medicate with real-life therapist Jude Treder-Wolff and her line-up of storytellers. Expect the unexpected. And without the hourly rates!”
— New York Daily News
”A great show in a great space. Perfect to bring a loved one for a night out with friends.”
— Diane Caruso, Push/Pause TV
”I had a blast doing (mostly) TRUE THINGS! Jude Treder-Wolff is an incredible host and all the other storytellers were amazing! The Performing Arts Studio of NY is such a beautiful space and made the whole experience so relaxed and just wonderful. I look forward to doing it again.”
— Bob Brader, award-winning actor/writer
